Pre-Season Manchester Trip to Sixes
What better way to prepare for the upcoming season than a net session in sunny Manchester?
This is pre-season nets with a difference! It's everyone for themselves. The bowlers are bowling both pace and mystery spin from 11 yards and the fielders cover every square inch of the field other than a few small windows. Don't get out and make sure not to be the player with the fewest runs to avoid forfeits. Join us on Saturday 29th March.
Mid-Season Curry Night
Join us at the Maazi Indian Restaurant on Saturday 28th June from 20:00 for the entertaining mid-season curry night.
Whilst hope still lives mid-way through the season we are able to share our thoughts and ambitions (along with a number of tasty beverages) and look forward to the remainder of the season. The team at Maazi always pull out all the stops for us and serve up a wonderful banquet of Indian cuisine. Join us if you can.
Family Day
Join us at Bridge Field for a celebration of all things cricket on Sunday 13th July to celebrate this wonderful game.
With our All Stars and Dynamos cricket sessions coming to an end before the summer holidays, we like to celebrate with a big family occasion. With players, parents and fans all coming together to play a softball tournament whilst also enjoying some well earned food and drink.
After four years of successful fixtures where neither rain nor COVID caused a cancellation, we have been invited back to play at the stunning Chatsworth Cricket Ground. The fixture is set for Thursday 21st August.
Set in the world famous grounds of Chatsworth House and within sight of the awesome building, the cricket ground is possibly one of the most idyllic in England (other than Bridge Field of course!).
End-of-Season Curry Night
Join us at the Maazi Indian Restaurant on Saturday 23rd August from 20:00 for the always raucous end-of-season curry night.
Riz and the team do another fantastic job of feeding the players at the culmination of another (hopefully) successful season. However, no end-of-season dinner would be complete without a further journey into Sheffield to celebrate late on into the night.
Steve Hadfield Memorial Tournament
3 teams, 3 T20 matches, 1 BBQ, many alcoholic beverages. All in the memory of the late Steve Hadfield. Sunday 24th August 10am onwards.
In 2019 we lost one of our own far too soon. Therefore it seems only right to remember Steve whilst playing a sport he adored. Grindleford CC will host a T20 tournament featuring a local team and a Friends of Steve 'Dream Team'.
GCC Tour 2025
The GCC Tour is back for its eighth iteration this year from Friday 12th September until Sunday 14th September (or Monday for extra recovery)
Following its 20-year hiatus the GCC touring team is set for its eighth tour in as many years. Basing ourselves in the market town of Ross-on-Wye we compete in 3 matches against some friendly local teams in the idyllic surroundings of the Wye Valley. However, all this cricket is thirsty work; a good job then there's plenty of cider to hand!
End-of-Season Awards Night
Following the end of the 2025 season, it is a time to reminisce and celebrate all that the club has achieved over the preceding 6 months.
The Maynard, our generous sponsors, provide the perfect setting for our awards night. Players and guests will enjoy a delicious three-course meal at the idyllic hotel before the main event. The evening celebrates the team's achievements with well-deserved awards handed out to our star players, marking a successful season.
